Professional Services & Medical Disclaimer
Beautélanin® provides services within the cosmetic and esthetic scope of practice permitted by applicable law.
Beautélanin® does not practice medicine and does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease. Our services, observations, educational materials, product information, and professional frameworks are not substitutes for medical examination, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a licensed physician, dermatologist, or other qualified healthcare provider.
References to skin behavior, barrier behavior, reactivity, pigment response, inflammation, structural support, environmental exposure, or similar concepts describe cosmetic observations and educational considerations. They do not represent findings of disease, pathology, injury, or medical impairment.
Beautélanin® may decline, postpone, modify, or discontinue a service when a condition appears to be outside the esthetic scope of practice or when referral to a licensed healthcare provider is appropriate.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or a severe or unexpected reaction, seek immediate medical attention.
The Beautélanin® Framework Ecosystem
Beautélanin® has developed a proprietary, melanin-centered system of education, observation, assessment, documentation, and non-medical care planning. The framework ecosystem includes, without limitation:
The foundational philosophy that centers melanin-rich skin within scientific inquiry, professional education, cultural context, and cosmetic care. It challenges generalized assumptions that treat lighter skin as the universal biological standard. NoirScience™ is an educational and interpretive philosophy — not a medical specialty, medical device, or diagnostic system.
Beautélanin's professional skin interpretation and care-planning framework. It provides a structured method for trained practitioners to observe, document, and interpret cosmetic skin behaviors and to plan services within their lawful scope of practice. MélanoMatrixD™ does not diagnose medical conditions and may not be represented or used as a medical diagnostic system.
Beautélanin's proprietary five-axis Behavior Assessment Framework — organizing cosmetic observations across Melanin Density, Reactivity, Barrier Behavior, UV Legacy, and Pigment Memory. Based on the principle of Observation Before Intervention™. An MRBUP® assessment is not a dermatological examination, medical evaluation, medical diagnosis, or prediction of disease.
The Beautélanin® ecosystem also includes the Melanin Density Tool™, Undertone Signature Framework™, S.E.B.U.M.™ Sebum Behavior Chart™, Skin Behavior Profile™, Contextual Observation Layer™, BarrierFirst Decision Tree™, Conservative Progression™, Pigment Prevention Framework™, Protocol Selection Framework™, MélanoScan™ Consultation, Legacy Layer™ Skin Reading, and related curricula, manuals, and protocols.
The term "clinical," when used in educational or professional materials, refers to structured professional observation and reasoning within an authorized cosmetic or esthetic scope. It does not convert the framework, practitioner, service, or educational program into medical practice.
Digital Imaging, Skin Scans & Technology
Certain Beautélanin® services may incorporate digital photographs, magnified images, facial scanning equipment, questionnaires, visual comparisons, software-generated measurements, or automated observations. These technologies may help document visible skin characteristics and changes over time. They do not independently establish a diagnosis, medical risk, disease classification, or guaranteed treatment outcome.
Scanner or software outputs may be affected by lighting, positioning, image quality, device calibration, cosmetics, recent product use, environmental conditions, and other variables. Such outputs must be interpreted within the limited cosmetic purpose for which they are provided.
Clients should not use scan results or skin reports to begin, discontinue, or modify medical treatment.
Client Responsibilities

Individual Results & Product Use
Skin responses and cosmetic outcomes vary. Results may be affected by skin history, barrier condition, sensitivities, environmental exposure, hormones, medications, product use, adherence, lifestyle, and other individual factors.
Beautélanin® does not guarantee:
- A particular result or timeline
- The elimination of discoloration, texture, visible lines, or other concerns
- That a product or service will be suitable for every person

- That a cosmetic recommendation will address an underlying medical condition
Review product ingredients and instructions before use. Conduct a patch test when recommended or appropriate. Discontinue use and seek appropriate assistance if irritation or an adverse reaction occurs. Product descriptions and ingredient information are provided for cosmetic and educational purposes and must not be interpreted as disease-treatment claims.
Photographs, Intake Information & Records
Certain services may require photographs, digital scans, intake forms, questionnaires, consultation notes, treatment records, or other client-provided information. By voluntarily submitting this information, you authorize Beautélanin® to use it as reasonably necessary for consultation, cosmetic assessment, service planning and delivery, progress documentation, client communication and support, safety and quality review, internal recordkeeping, and improvement of our services and practitioner processes.

Beautélanin® may suspend or revoke a privately issued certification or permission to use program-specific credentials when a participant misrepresents the credential, exceeds the permitted scope, infringes intellectual property, compromises client safety, or violates applicable program terms.
