My path into skincare was not traditional. Before entering the treatment room, I spent years practicing law — analyzing evidence, asking questions, and looking beyond surface-level explanations.
That same curiosity followed me into skincare. As I studied ingredients, formulations, treatment protocols, and skin behavior, I found myself returning to the same question:
“What if we have been asking the wrong questions about skin?”

A Framework for
Deeper Questions
While studying skincare, I became increasingly interested in the relationship between biology, inflammation, barrier function, pigmentation, environmental exposure, culture, and lived experience.
I wanted a framework that allowed me to ask deeper questions. That search ultimately led to the development of NoirScience™ — an educational philosophy dedicated to understanding skin through observation, critical thinking, and a broader view of human experience.
