What Is Beautélanin™?
More Than a
Skincare Company
Founded by Judith Pluviose — licensed esthetician, attorney, certified skincare formulator, and educator.
Beautélanin™ is an educational, cultural, and scientific platform dedicated to advancing the understanding of melanin-rich skin through research-informed education, treatment innovation, and community-centered care.
Despite the size and influence of melanin-rich communities worldwide, much of modern skincare education, product development, and professional training continues to overlook the unique biology, healing patterns, and lived experiences of melanated skin.
Rather than accepting those gaps, Beautélanin™ was created to address them. Through proprietary frameworks, educational programs, practitioner resources, treatment protocols, and community initiatives, we build a more inclusive and scientifically rigorous approach to skin health.
Our work sits at the intersection of science, culture, education, and wellness. Representation without understanding is insufficient. True progress requires both visibility and knowledge.

We believe the strongest organizations are willing to listen, learn, and evolve. The Advisory Board exists to help us do exactly that.

We are not looking for titles. We are looking for people who have dedicated themselves to learning, building, serving, teaching, researching, creating, advocating, or leading.
Whether your expertise comes from clinical practice, education, research, entrepreneurship, advocacy, media, public health, or community leadership — we believe your perspective may help strengthen this work.
You have been invited because we value not only what you know, but how you think.
What Is the Commitment?
Intentionally Manageable
Advisory Board members serve a one-year term. The expected commitment is designed to accommodate busy professionals while still allowing meaningful participation.
We value quality of engagement far more than quantity of hours. Participation is collaborative rather than burdensome.
Four virtual meetings per year — each lasting approximately ninety minutes, held quarterly.
Two to three hours per month reviewing materials, providing feedback, or participating in occasional discussions.
One-year term with the opportunity to renew based on mutual interest and evolving organizational needs.
Flexible engagement — support for strategic initiatives when appropriate and your schedule allows.
